Actually, when I first started designing the butterfly, I was working with 4 triangles, but had a big ‘aha’ and moved to doing it with 2. I always start with waaaaaaaaaaaay too much and then streamline down down down, aiming for simplicity. )

That is so clever how you shape the butterfly wing from one triangle! I expected it would be two separate pieces. How elegantly simple!

I also picked up another tip from this video – the clever way you kink the yarn over the needle to facilitate threading the needle.
