Hankering for Yarn

Wedding rehearsal

Amazing. EVERYONE forgot to take pictures of the rehearsal!

We had only 30 minutes for it, and the man who is officiating at the wedding got stuck in traffic and missed the rehearsal!

Luckily, his wife is a true star, and she stepped in and took over and all is well. whew.

The weather is utterly foul. Cold and rainy and miserable.

So, the barbeque that was planned to be at the bride’s parent’s campsite got moved to our house.  And, it was great.     AND – the best man forgot his camera in someone else’s car, and everyone else forgot to take pictures.

The only pic of the rehearsal dinner is on Mum’s camera, which is an old point and shoot.

sheesh.

After the dinner was over, I realized that I still hadn’t woven the flashes for the kilt wearing menfolk’s socks.

So, I whipped out my inkle loom, warped it up and wove like a fiend till the wee small hours.

I am going to have our son cut the band off the loom  when they get here in an hour or so to start getting ready for the wedding.  I like the metaphor of him doing that.kilts-033.jpg

I had better get my skirt finished….. mayhem is about to ensue.

hugs allround
