Hankering for Yarn

What I got for Christmas-3

My sister in law shops at the world’s best second hand store.

And, nope, I am NOT going to share the info on where it is!

LOL!

Anyhow….  I absolutely LOVE it that she finds me the best fiber arts stuff there.

Look what she found for me for Christmas:

A TURQUOISE (my favorite color) 2 inch square Weave- it loom! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!

It was missing 2 pins, but it only took me a moment to hammer in 2 finishing nails, and get weaving.  I love the metaphor of the little loom being healed and getting back to work.   I think the 2 inch Weave-its are one of my most favorite looms.

I hope that some day my sis will find me a Featherweight sewing machine and a Louet Hatbox spinning wheel in the world’s best second hand store.

A girl can dream, can’t she ?

What second hand thing would you love to have come into your life?

Does this count-we don’t usually buy presents for each other. But I found a nearly new easy weaver at the antique mall here, and got it. I haven’t got to use it yet but will after the first. And I got one of those 4 inch weavette looms a year ago at the flea market. I had to make repairs on it too and find some needles but it works fine. I do love finding things that are unwanted and giving them a second life. And I like making and repairing things.
