Hankering for Yarn

So many projects, so little time

Like a lot of knitters out there, I have more projects I want to knit than I have time (or fingers) for. The Internet has not helped in that regard at all — there was a time when books and magazines were your main pattern sources, but now, with the wide availability of so many new patterns coming out all the time, many of them online and so many free (!), it’s just difficult to keep up.

Still, when my knitting magazines come in the mail, I get excited all over again. Like a puppy with a new toy. One of my favorites is Interweave Knits and the winter issue that arrived in my mailbox a couple of weeks ago did not disappoint.

There was no sweater this time around that I have to cast on for right this minute, but there are two pairs of socks that I’m in love with. One is Sandalwood:

The other is the Herringbone Rib.

I have about 6 WIPs going now and I don’t need to add another, but these socks are really calling to me.
