Okay… the model looks like she’s stepped out of a zombie movie, and some of the ‘way far crazy out there’ architectural shaping is too bizarro for words,

but….

there is some seriously gorgeous and innovative shaping going on in Sandra Backlund’s designs.

She’s good. She’s very good.

    Hi Karen
    No, they are definitely not for wearing- they are sculptural, and a way of the designer making a statement.

    It’s like the runway shows of top fashion designers - a way of presenting ideas and concepts that then get processed into wearable garments.

    The mastery of stitch construction that she shows REALLY IS worth looking at, while avoiding the Zombiesque styling of the model.
