Wild gingerbread house and another contest

Last weekend, our family had our annual gingerbread house building party. Our daughter and her husband make little gingerbread houses. Our son and his wife and Jim and I trot off to Chloe and Clancy’s and have a wonderful time decorating our gingerbread houses.
Chloe and Clancy’s house – beautiful. (not gingerbread – they made theirs from chocolate…. yum!)
Alli and Angus’s house- wonderful (you wouldn’t believe the ‘tesselation’ that they did).
Ours? Totally off the wall!
I noticed that the licorice allsorts looked like eyes…. so one thing led to another…… and, ahem…. our house ended up with incredibly silly faces on it…
If you look carefully, you can see the snowman crochet hook that I am giving away in my holiday contest. It’s leaning against the right hand side of the house.
And, speaking of ‘unique’ houses, go check out the contest at
Offbeat homes
Fun!
Oh, one other thing. Ahem. I discovered that if you pinch little hard candies ~just so~, they will ping up in the air and fly across the table, disconcerting other gingerbread house decorators. (the dogs thought this was great, but the person who had to clean up if they ‘erped’ didn’t) oops.
All in all we had a wonderful time. I laughed so hard my stomach hurt. It doesn’t get any better than that.

It sure sounds interesting.
