I don't know how well acupuncture works as a stress reliever, but I did read a double blind study not too long ago saying that patients treating with using the actual acupuncture points (sorry for what I'm assuming is the incorrect terminology) had less pain than those treated with fake ones. Take that as you will. When I did acupuncture for my migraines, I didn't notice much (if any) of a difference.

Lifting heavy weights is definitely my way to blow off steam and feel 100% energized. An hour and a half of lifting weights, and I'm full of life for the rest of the day. Although you have to watch out for the DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) those first few times after doing heavy squats. Stairs will NOT be your friend! :)

What a GREAT post!

Sounds like these ways will not only increase energy levels, but self love as well. We need to nurture our relationship with ourselves in order to develop healthy relationships with our worlds!

I'll be bookmarking this post.

I was so happy to see that I do most of these naturally! I would have to add meditation, though. I start every morning (before coffee, believe it or not) with a full body stretch (usually a few "sun salutations") followed by a 10-15 minute guided meditation (usually a free Meditation Oasis podcast via iTunes). I started this routine about a year and a half ago and I can't believe how much of a positive impact it has made on my life!!!

Great suggestions... I'll have to branch out and try some of these. Though 12 & 13 are my personal favorites. :)

Cycle instead of drive. Especially to and from work. It's a better jolt than morning coffee, and a great way to re-energize after a long wokrday.
