Cordyceps Fungus: “Alien” with Ants

We usually stick to human health around here, but this is waaaaay too surrealistically creepy to pass up. And it does have to do with health, insect health. Cordyceps Fungus infects an insects body and it starts to go mad. It loses its sense of direction and becomes disoriented. Then it dies. Over the course of the next three weeks the fungus will erupt from its body, eventually releasing an explosion of spores into the air that will infect nearby insects. Make sure you don’t miss the time lapse photography of the fungus finally emerging from its host.

Ripley: Ash, can you hear me? ASH?
Ash: Yes, I can hear you.
Ripley: What was your special order?
Ash: You read it. I thought it was clear.
Ripley: What was it?
Ash: Bring back life form. Priority One. All other priorities rescinded.
Parker: It’s the damn company. What about our lives, you son of a bitch?
