What a phenomenal run America had in the Olympics this year, and what an amazing go-round athletes from around the world had overall. Lots of records broken (something about some Phelps guy, I dunno) and lots of reason to celebrate.
So, we want to know…did you watch the Beijing Olympics, or did you skip them? If you watched, what was your favorite event? If you could, would you love the opportunity to compete in the Olympics yourself? In what event? Let us know…

I loved it! This was the first time that I actually sat down and watched it. Gymnastics, running and swimming were my favorite. Never got to the the weight lifting.
I ran in to watch Phelps and his teammates when they would compete, because he was impressive. I got glimpses of other sports but I guess I prefer to watch the winter olympics instead.
The political problems in China sort of helped me lose interest this time, not sure why. I feel sorry for the citizens there, am mad about how the Tibetans have been treated, etc.!
I watched some of the opening ceremony they wasted billions of dollars on. *shrugs* They were impressively pretty but the money could have gone to help the poor…
I’ll probably watch alot of the winter olympics, when I hear where and when they’ll be.
Oh yeah, I remember watching the little weight lifting women…remembering one (Chinese) who lifted twice her weight and made it look easy!
The opening ceremony was amazing!
I don’t think the people in China want other people feeling sorry for them. As far as I can tell, they love their country. I know some Chinese people who are living in the US now, but are really looking forward to moving back to China someday.
I would love to be in the Olympics! If I had a great athletic talent, it would be my goal to compete in the Olympics.
I loved watching the gymnastics events and swimming (Go Michael!). I also liked watching the track events. This year’s Olympics were awesome.
