When you’re eating, that is.
I know my busy schedule + drive throughs + days weeks of evolution have subconsciously trained me to get a meal out of the way as quickly as possible. Well, we’re not cro-magnons and no one is going to steal our food if we don’t inhale it the moment it’s gets in front of us.
When we start eating it may take up to 20 minutes for your stomach to register a “full’ signal to your brain no matter what you’ve packed into it. Which means you have twenty sweet minutes of freedom to destroy that buffet before you start having problems with your belt and mobility.
But with great power, comes great responsibility. So, take time to chew more thoroughly, you will enjoy the taste of your food more as well as make it easier to digest, plus you’ll know when to put the clean plate down and step away from the buffet. Slowly, buddy, slowly.
