Easy health tip #9: Souped Up

Studies show (who are these people anyway?) that those eating one or more bowls of soup daily lose more weight than those who don’t, even when the two groups eat an identical number of calories. Slurp on that for a moment.
A nutritious soup (not the creamy greasy dripping with cheese kind) low in salt (you knew there was a catch) helps rehydrate your body while it nourishes. It also helps flush your pipes, running the waste out of your body. Most canned soups contain salt (high amounts of sodium) and chemicals, so stick to the homemade kind. Find recipes on the Internet or borrow your mom’s cookbook, or–be nice to grandma, especially if she has a secret soup recipe.
