Farrah Fawcett’s on ‘A Wing and a Prayer’.
Former Charlies Angel Farrah Fawcett has been fighting a rare form of cancer since 2006 when she was diagnosed with anal cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, anal cancer is rare (an estimated 4,650 cases in 2006) but the number is rising, with those most affected being female and in their early 60’s.
Farrah’s spent the last couple of years fighting not only the cancer with chemotherapy and radiation treatments, but also the tabloids and paparazzi in an effort to protect her privacy. Having cancer is bad enough, but having to live it out in the eyes of the paparazzi and tabloids that ‘enthusiastically ‘ announce to the world that ‘”Farrah’s Cancer Is Back!” (as the National Enquirer did in 2007) must be the pits.
Seems it’s okay for the media to parade Farrah’s health all over the news in an effort to sell papers and make money but when Farrah decides to do it herself by participating in a documentary (On a Wing and a Prayer) about her treatments, it’s another story. For example, yesterday’s ABC News headline read ‘Farrah Fawcett Cashing in on Cancer Battle?’ which makes it sound like Farrah has no right to “…tell all about her battle with cancer in an upcoming documentary — and potentially make millions in the process.”
Why is that?

This is sad. I saw a picture of her the other day and she looks very very frail. I wish her the best.
I agree..it’s very sad and Farrah does look very frail…and it must be horrendous going through it all in the media’s eye…
Wow, this is really sad…I didn’t know about this until I saw this post.
my brother was a fan of yours, but he passed
away from anoresim. and ever since his death I
dedicate myself to the angel prayers, then my prayers have been answered .
then there was also a shooting at my daughters
school and I felt hopeless but I saw an angel .
I am desperately trying to find out information on Ms. Fawcett’s cancer treatment. I do not wish to intrude on her. I am trying to find information for a relative who has fought the battle of cancer, but it seems to be the best kept secret. Can anyone help?
You might want to lean in the direction of Hulda Clark, ionized water, and radionics. Best to you..
Farrah has EVERY right to market her battle with cancer in any way she feels fit, its the skum-bag tabloid journalists that should be chastised AND penalized. From the slandourous headlines to the snooping on medical records these “papers” should be the ones paying Ms Fawcett millions of dollars. Farrah is an incredibly smart business woman, she will do fine despite the ridiculousness of the tabloid press. God Speed Farrah.
I can relate very closely with the battle that Ms. Fawcett is enduring. I too, have anal cancer. I was diagnosed in January 2007, and did extensive chemo and radiation. Since Jan. 08, I have had 5 major surgeries, one due to the cancer returning and the other 4 to correct damage done by the cancer. As of two days ago, I was ordered another ct scan and return to my oncologist tomorrow…it doesn’t seem good, but I am always hopeful. From someone who knows what this is to battle this type of caner, my prayers are with Farrah and I wish her the very best for her future.
I have loved Farrah Fawcett for nearly 25 years, and I have been deeply saddened by this health news. Farrah your in my prayers and thoughts daily. Be strong
I wish you well Ms Fawcett .this will be the fight of your life ..but stay strong ,you have a loving Family and many Friends who be will by your side on the hard Days..I don’t Pray as such but my thoughts are with you….Keep Yourself as well as you can ..Each Day is New So Each Day Brings New Hope To Us ….FROM AUSTRALIA WITH KIND THOUGHTS COMING YOUR WAY
I don’t know if Ms. Fawcett ever gets to read any of these messages, but, if by chance she does, please know you are not alone in this fight. I too, in January of 2007, was diagnosed with anal cancer. I was only 46 when this happened to me. I as well, went thru the chemo and did 33 rounds of radiation. My tumor was the size of a baseball! After all the chemo and radiation, the surgeons went in to try and repair the damage done from the tumor. My first surgery was in Jan. 08, and then from April 08 until July08, I had 4 more major surgeries. One due to the cancer re-occuring. I can say that I honestly know what you are going thru! But I believe that we are fighters and we are going to beat this cancer! I think of you often and wonder what all you are doing to take care of yourself and only wish the best for you and your health. Keep your faith in God and know that you will continue to be in my prayers. I know for me personally, that had it not been for the thousands of prayers and the loving grace of God, I would not be here to share this today!
rest in peace Farrah
