Happy Living Tip: How To Erase Pillow Creases on Your Face

Nothing says “I just had one helluva great sleep” better than a face filled with creases compliments of your pillow. We’re talking creases on the cheeks, creases near your eyes and even creases by your mouth. And while these badges of honor might signify your happy slumber and prove once and for all that your late-night nookie sessions are indeed promoters of great rest, chances are your boss won’t find them nearly as endearing as your adoring bedmate.

So how to get rid of the mini-road map on your face before punch-in time? Simple:

1. Splash warm (not cold or hot) water on to the line-laden areas. This will rehydrate the skin’s top layer (the epidermis) and will enhance blood flow to the affected area. (This also works well for eliminating those pesky drool remnants, by the way).

2. Massage a thick moisturizer into your skin, using long even strokes – or better yet, circular motions – to encourage blood and fluid movement. Your goal is to plump up the skin and fill in those lines ASAP remember, so whatever you can do to get that blood moving will help.

Simple enough, wouldn’t you say? Of course, maybe you could think of other ways to get the blood moving…to all kinds of places, hm?? I’m just saying…

You list some very good tips here. My Mom always told me to sleep on a satin pillowcase. She did and her skin looked so smooth her whole life. My hairdresser says that during the night your face gets caught on a cotton pillowcase and you get those pillow creases on your face in the morning. Cotton naturally absorbs the moisture from your skin and your hair. Moisture that your skin needs to be healthy.

I found a company on the web (A Touch Of Satin) that has a page that talks about all the benefits of sleeping on satin. Here’s a link to the page if you want to read what they have to say. They have some beautiful satin pillowcases.

Well, I hope this helps and thanks for the good information.
