I mentioned this e-cookbook briefly in one of last month’s The Monday Sidebar.

Since then, I’ve discovered that there is a ‘free teaser version’ of  The Testicle Cookbook available, complete with the history of testicle cooking, five recipes and how-to videos. So if anyone’s interested in ‘cooking with balls’, this one’s for you…

Click here to read the sample version of The Testicle Cookbook.

And here if you want to purchase the full version…

Nothing bizarre at all. I grew up in southern Oklahoma and testicles (tactfully referred to as “mountain oysters”) were regularly cooked and eat. They’re delicious. No stranger than eating any other meat. Typically, they were fried, and eaten with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Wish I had some now, but hard to find these days.

Hi Leisureguy, okay so not so bizarre for some. They are served at the annual Wild Food Festival in Hokitika, New Zealand as ‘mountain oysters’ but never game enough to try them.

I’m a little like James on this – never!!

But it’s always good to have choices and variety when it comes to food…
