Is anyone ever really happy with their body image?
Probably not.
After all, how can we be when we are constantly bombarded with images that fuel our discontent with our bodies.
As a result, we often put ourselves at risk to obtain a perfect body in the hopes of having a perfect life.
Enter Pat Ballard, the Queen of the Rubenesque Romances. She writes writes romance novels and short stories with Big Beautiful Heroines to show that plus-size women are just as sexy, romantic, and exciting as their slim sisters.
But Pat wasn’t always this comfortable with the large body. As a young woman, she almost died trying to starve her body into a societally approved size. But having, through the years, made peace with the fact that she was a ‘perfect size twenty-two!’ Pat has written a book to help you do the same.
In 10 Steps to Loving Your Body (No Matter What Size You Are) she shares the steps she created ―and took―to heal the damage of years of dieting. Join her in celebrating size diversity, self esteem, positive body image, and health at every size.
The book is a mixture of personal coach and cheerleader for anyone looking to discover how to accept their body as it is, not as you want it to be. Complete with guidelines and worksheets, this book is aimed to help you stop fighting with your body.
Healthbolt’s got one copy of 10 Steps to Loving Your Body (No Matter What Size You Are) to give away.

This sounds like a helpful, positive book
I think every girl could use some cheerleading to help her body image… I know I could.
Sounds like a great book!
This book sounds like a great self-esteem booster! Thanks for the entry!
This sounds like a great book! I would love to share it with my sister; we could both use some more self-love in our lives:)
I would love to give this to a friend of mine. It would be great not to hear “I wish I were a size _” or “I need to lose some weight” all the time. It would be best if she embraced her healthy body the way it is and moved on. Not only would it help her, I’d borrow it and get some tips for myself!
This is a book I could use. I am often at odds with the woman in my mirror.
Sounds like a great read! ~
Please count me in! Thanks!
I think most women could benefit from this book!
Many thanks, Cindi
I could use a book like this–
Insight to see the delusion of a forced “thin culture” mentality as opposed to living a quality of life experience.

I like this book.I enjoyed your site and learned a lot.
This is one book I really need to read. My self-esteem is lower than a snake’s belly lately.
Being the only one among my friends who actually tries to accept my fat body as it is and promote the ideas of size acceptance, I get a lot of awkward reactions. I could surely use such a book to strenghten my own confidence even further as well as spread the word effectively…
I would like to give this to my younger sister.
I do my best at accepting myself and my size, but I often catch myself repeating negative thoughts from the media and our culture. Awareness, first step. Second step, change – this book would be a huge help!
This would be a great book to read. I don’t always accept my body the way it is. Thanks!

Oh darn, I wish I could have found this earlier.
You see I have Acromegaly a.k.a Giantism, the same disease that claimed “Sandy Allen’s” life. And I could have used a book like that.
Darn it!
