Healthbolt

Healthbolt Giveaway: Win a copy of the Relieving Stress and Achieving Your New Year’s Resolutions CD.

Hands up anyone who’s starting to feel the stress of the holiday season.

Mine hand is up. Is yours?

Well, you’ve shown up at Healthbolt at the right time because this next giveaway is aimed at not only relieving holiday stress but also helping you Achieve New Year’s Resolutions.

It’s a CD called Relieving Your Holiday Stress and Achieving Your New Yearʼs Resolutions.

Created by Ronald G. Nathan, Ph.D., a practicing psychologist, award-winning teacher, and co-author of three popular stress management books, this CD is a collection of simple and effective strategies to handle holiday stress more creatively.

It addresses ways to stay focused and relaxed while dealing with holiday related stress such as gift-giving and budget-busting to jammed parking lots and long cashier lines.

There are two guided relaxation tracks on the CD that follow help listeners to trigger the stay-and-play response, counteract the fight-or-flight response, desensitize to the ghosts of holidays past, and strengthen New Yearʼs resolutions.

Dr Nathan talks you through all of this and more, accompanied by relaxing harp music destined to reduce your stresses.

Sounds like something that should be playing on all car radios for the next two weeks if you ask me.

Want the CD?

Then leave a comment by 17th December telling us why you’re so stressed, and you never know, this CD could be heading for your mail box.

Open to US residents.

The winners will be announced on 18th December and sent an email with the subject heading ‘Healthbolt Giveaway Winner’ with instructions on how to claim their prize.

And don’t forget it’s ‘every day a giveaway’ this month at Healthbolt.

  1. Mubina says:

I would give this to my brother. He has seemed stressed out lately and I want him to handle his stress effectively. He also likes CDs & self-help books so he’ll like this.

  2. Cindi says:

Hello! I deal with depression and anxiety daily. The holidays tend to make these feelings more intense. I always picture this ideal Christmas ( like the ads ) and then am let down when they aren’t like the perceived notions. Please enter me in your CD drawing. Many thanks, Cindi

  3. Dree says:

I’m stressed because I am unemployed.

  4. amyp says:

I’m stressed because the list of things I have to do seems to grow exponentially, while the time I have to do it diminishes inversely. I’m also stressed because yesterday, my dog ate her poop.

  5. kerri r says:

I AM JUST GENERALLY A STRESSED OUT PERSON I EXERCISE AND IT HELPS THIS CD IS SOMETHING I COULD USE

  6. ashley says:

I would have to give this to my mother.. as a single mom with 4 kids still living at home, she could use this!

  7. I am a full-time student, in my senior year of college, so finishing up all of my classes (Major: Psychology, Minor: Communications, Extra Emphasis: Drug and Alcohol Studies) is quite a bit of work. I aim for 4.0’s in my classes, so it often takes up a lot of my time.

I also work full-time at a group home for psychologically, developmentally, and emotionally disabled teenager boys Being a female, I become the target of a lot of their frustrations, which seem to increase during the holiday season (since most of them don’t have families).

I am applying to doctorate programs for clinical psychology, as well, which is proving to be a(nother) full time job.

I am also taking the GRE (Graduate Requirement Exam) on December 20th and have been meeting with a tutor for 2 hours a day to study… not to mention the time that I’m spending outside of the sessions to study on my own.

And now I need to get back to reality… :)

  8. rbee says:

First time to your site, I wander into stress/survival when in my” bondage of self mode”
I am convinced that during this season I deserve…
That thought process always leaves me feeling “less than” and therefore I compensate with arrogant entitlement or I have the right to act badly because of my self induced delusion.

  9. Audrey says:

Why I’m stressed? Hmmm. The position I settled for because of the bad economy might not be around for much longer because of my city’s major budget crisis. I have **just** reduced my student loans from 6 figures to 5 figures. I’m also getting fat because of my long commute (4 hours/day).

  10. Just Kelly says:

I’m a full-time employee, part time graduate student, wife, volunteer, and guardian advocate! so stressed! Would love to win this!

  11. Cleo says:

    Stress == work.

Also, stress is the direct result of my inability to say no to anyone.

  12. Heather C says:

I’m a perfectionist, and when something is out of place or dirty, I spend more time worrying about that small detail rather than focusing on the fun stuff! Plus, everyone in the family is hyper but me.

  13. Eve says:

I am stressed because I have had a lot of goals in my life that i haven’t reached yet. I feel like my life is at a standstill. And i can’t stop felling depressed about it.
