Healthbolt Giveaway: Win a Timex Ironman Race Trainer.

Okay, I’ll be honest. I don’t usually spend much time checking my heart rate when exercising. I’m usually too busy simply trying to keep breathing and not collapsing.

But I’ve just discovered a gadget that would probably let me do both. It’s the  Timex Ironman Race Trainer, a heart rate monitor system that allows the user (exerciser) to wirelessly download their workout data. Once downloaded, you can then analyze the information to find out how to improve and enhance your workouts, track your progress and attain any fitness goals you have.

timex_ironman_healthbolt Here’s what you get with the Timex Ironman Race Trainer kit…

  • Race Trainer digital heart rate monitor
  • Digital 2.4 heart rate sensor and strap
  • Data Xchanger USB device, and
  • Free access to Timex Ironman online training site.
  • Haven’t tried it but it sounds great. I think I’ll just have to add the Timex Ironman Race Trainer to my Christmas wish list.

Meanwhile, Healthbolt readers have the opportunity to get one of their own simply by entering the Win A Timex Ironman Race Trainer giveaway.

All you have to do, as usual, is leave a comment by 16th December telling us why this should be yours and you never know, it just might be.

This, by the way, is an INTERNATIONAL giveaway.

The winners will be announced on 17th December and sent an email with the subject heading ‘Healthbolt Giveaway Winner’ with instructions on how to claim their prize.

And don’t forget it’s ‘every day a giveaway’ this month at Healthbolt.

Though I have run for 5 1/2 years, I’ve never tried heartrate-based training. I’ve not had any way to measure and store heartrates mid-run. This just might be the tool to get me to the next level in my running.

    2. Brandon G says:

This thing would DEFINITELY get me to run more. I try to run about once per week, but I can never run very far and that always makes me feel very out of shape. Please, Santa, let me fulfill my last 10 New Year’s resolutions and get me one of these!

    3. Amanda says:

Next year I am determined to qualify for Boston and I’ve come to realize that it will be very helpful to have more tools at my disposal as I learn how to pace myself and really hit the right speed. I would love to have the trainer to work with me!

    4. Audrey says:

I would like to do a tri in July of 2009. This would definitely come in handy

i want this because i’ve not used any fitness/training aids in the past but this watch would be really helpful for me. ive never used any fitness machines or devices or even had a gym membership. this watch could really help me fine tune my excercises and make my time spent more efficient.

    6. This would make a great gift for a friend of mine.

      This would make my year!

    8. Sameer says:

Whenever I run, I have to stop and take my heart rate for 15 seconds; this would be more convenient. Additionally, I want to make sure that I am in the target zone for more than the few seconds when I take my pulse.

    9. Just Kelly says:

would love to win this! Could measure my progress more accurately!

    10. Priscilla says:

I would loooooooove to win the the Timex Ironman Race Trainer. I neeeeeeeed it. I am so focused on my weight loss goals but I believe I have reached a bit of a plateau – and this is just what I need to overcome it. My first goal was to drop a dress size in 2 months, which I did. I now have another 10lbs to lose in 2 more months. With this watch I can keep on top of what I am doing.
Plus, did I mention that you and this site are wonderful – yes, I’m talking to you *wink* absolutely wonderful whoever wins will be very lucky.

This would be a perfect way to track my target heart rate when the only numbers I have an easy time monitoring now are my bus routes home. Thanks for all the cool giveaway opportunities!
