Healthbolt Giveaway: Win an Eco-Friendly Tappening Water Bottle.

Any fitness greenies out there?

This giveaway is for you.

We all know that drinking water is healthy. Study after study has told us so.

Unfortunately, this lead to a multi-million dollar bottle water industry which neither good for the environment nor your wallet, as this video shows….

tappening_healthbolt Did you know that more than 99.9 percent of Americans live in homes where unlimited amounts of fresh, treated water is available?

Tapping into this, Eric Yaverbaum and Mark DiMassimo launched the national Tappening ad campaign to re-brand tap water as safe, affordable, and ever so good for the environment.

They created thought provoking ads to encourage people to stop buying bottled water and start getting their water straight from the tap. And along the way, they started produced and selling BPA free water bottles designed to store tap water for your drinking pleasure.

The Tappening bottles are big, colorful, and tell a story in one or two words.

And Healthbolt has one to give away.

Interested?

Then leave a comment before 13th December 2008 as to why this should be yours and what color you’d prefer – green or blue.

It’s only open to US Residents.

The winner will be announced on 14th December and sent an email with the subject heading ‘Healthbolt Giveaway Winner’ with instructions on how to claim their prize.

And don’t forget it’s ‘everyday a giveaway’ this month at Healthbolt.

I would love a reuseable water bottle for drinking water everyday. I have one reusable water bottle but I always have to refill a plastic water bottle (I know, I know, it isn’t safe to drink water from those after refilling it) or deal with a collection of glasses all around my house. I also do not know if the current reusable bottle I use is BPA free. I would like a green bottle.

  2. Alyssa says:

I would love a green bottle to keep up my reputation around the office as the office environmentalist!

  3. Eli says:

I drink lots of Brita-filtered water, so I can use this to drink from instead of reusing plastic bottles every week. I like green!

  4. Kathleen says:

Green is my favorite color! I have had reusable bottles before and have battered and beaten them up ~ but love not using the single use bottles.

  5. Angela says:

I use water bottles constantly, but they’re all plain, so this would be great to send the message while it’s being useful!

  6. Angela says:

    Oops, forgot – blue :)

  7. Alex says:

I can always use a new bottle to bring to the gym – green sounds particularly appealing.

  13. Lisa oram says:

I bought my daughter a BPA-free water bottle for all the reasons it’s good to drink water from re-usable bottles, including that she’s a gymnast and works out a lot s- but you know how daughter’s are: she can’t find it. Hers first one was green. Maybe your green one could help me out. She would love the message (and I do, too!)

    Thanks, lisa

  14. Timothy says:

Great work to call attention to this issue. But there really is one more important concern that people should check out and addresss. There is a large amount of scientific and medical research that shows drinking fluoride introduces many health risks. This is for real, it’s not about communist plots! And while chlorine serves a good purpose in cleaning water, does that mean you need to drink it?

Drinking tap water and using your own bottles are the way to go. But you also need a good kitchen filter so you are truly drinking good healthy water. Sorry, but Brita doesn’t even claim to do too much to clean the water.

Keep up the good work. For more info please visit http://www.friendsofwater.com and visit the pages on Water Bottles, Fluoride, Chlorine, Water Filters and moer.

  15. I would use this everyday!
both are nice, but I’d like blue :)

  16. Brooke says:

Cool water bottles! Green for me!

  17. Jaxx says:

This water bottle would be a great alternative to the plastic water bottles i bring with me to school everyday. My campus is trying to be more eco-friendly, so having a re-usable water would help the environment, although in a tiny, tiny way. At home, my roommate has a Brita filter we all use because our tap water is from a well, and has a ton of chemicals in it. [When we wash our dishes, there's always white residue when the water dries. We think it's calcium, but who knows?] This water bottle sends a great message to people I walk by to not only drink their daily recommended amount of water, but also to help preserve the local environment. Green is the only way to go!

  18. Hetal G says:

  44. Pamela White says:

I have a reverse osmosis water filter fitted in my kitchen and use it to fill my jug, so no new news to me. We started over 20 years ago before bottled water came into vogue when we turned on our tap and got orange muddy water which occured because the water workers were on strike and our pumping station near our house was down. We were assured that it was DRINKABLE.

  45. Pamela White says:

I would like a blue one, I forgot.

  46. Kerri H says:

    I like the health tips.
