Health.com recently surveyed America’s 100 largest fast-food chains and discovered that many of the menus on offer, which range from soups and salads to whole grain breads and fruit desserts, are actually very nutritious and health.
Here’s their Top 10 picks…
1. Panera Bread
2. Jason’s Deli
3. Au Bon Pain
4. Noodles & Company
5. Corner Bakery
6. Chipotle
7. Atlanta Bread Company
8. McDonald’s
9. Einstein Bros. Bagels
10. Taco Del Mar
To be honest, the only one I’ve ever heard of is McDonalds, which, of course, is here in New Zealand. But from the descriptions of the other nine on the list, I’m hoping they might also make their way over here…
Meanwhile, I’ll just have to be satisfied with reading about these yummy sounding fast food chains over at Health.com.

I love Panera Bread. I usually like to get their soup and salad. My husband, on the other hand, calls it a chick restaurant. He always have to stop by somewhere else for a snack afterwards.
Sounds good. Will have to try out next time am in States.
Corner Bakery is wonderful, but there’s not one close to me.
Fell in love with it on vacation.
Panera wasn’t impressive to me, but I was having a bad day when I visited.
I really have to question this list. Panera Bread and Atlanta Bread are both frequent targets of the wrath over at Eat This, Not That. They may seem healthy, but many of their items are calorie bombs! The seemingly healthy Sierra Turkey sandwich at Panera has 840 calories! An average burrito at Chipotle has around 1300 calories! Be careful what you order before you go to one of these “healthy” places.
