I think people are just beginning to understand these natural healing modalities, and as such, are maybe a bit overzealous and hopeful. I come from a family of doctors, although I'm pursuing a chinese medicine degree. I understand the differences in thinking between the two. And I'm oftentimes reminded of the fantastical and, sometimes, wildly erroneous claims of alternative medicine. But I'm also reminded of the carelessness of allopathic medicine in how it goes about treating many diseases or ails. I think, like politics in America right now, we're here to bridge gaps. We're here to appreciate the duality of things and to also find what works and what is just our wishful thinking. You are a messenger. Your ability to see bullshit is a gift. Your wit is as well. Like many of us however, we've got to learn to temper our enthusiasm for the truth and lead others in a positive direction by using positive means, not negative ones as we're so easily inclined. If you're not in the medical field, you should be. You obviously feel passionately about the subject and would do the world the service it deserves by investing your energy there, if it isn't already there at present. And since when has "according to the company" been sufficient to establish healing powers? Imagine Bayer releasing a pill and they say it "cures" arthritis and diabetes. They don't have any, you know, tests or evidence but they feel sure it works. Do you really think that anyone would believe it? Does the situation really improve when the pill also cures high blood pressure and comes in convenient trouser-based applications? Now if pants could cure gullibility... Yeah, “fascinating”.
