Product Review: Snapple Antioxidant Water

In a world suddenly laden with amped-up waters, how do you know which ones are right for you? Well, dear readers, we’re going to help you with that. Because in the last couple weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to try a few of the new-to-market enhanced waters and am happy to share the low-down with you so you know where to spend (or save) your money.

First up: Snapple Antioxidant Water

Available in several different flavors, this water uses cool descriptors such as “Defy”, “Awaken”, and “Protect” to clue you in to their superpowers. Chock full of antioxidants, vitamins and electrolytes, these beverages dare time to take its toll on you.

The drawback to these is that with the added enhancement bonuses comes added calories (and, unfortunately, carbs and sugar.) At around 50 cals and 12 grams of sugar per 1 cup serving, weight-conscious folks might balk at what these waters are packin’. Then again, if the benefits of the added extras outweigh the risk of the added calories and carbs for you, then all is well.

As for taste, the Raspberry Acerola is top notch. The other flavors will find their fans too, but don’t expect a huge punch of fruitiness with this brand. Overall, they taste, well, like water…with a little kick.

Their marketing is pretty fun, too. Take a look at the video. And if you give these waters a try for yourself, let us know what you think.

Enjoy!

Of all these crazy “enhanced” water beverages, I like Snapple’s the best. I’m not too convinced that it’s the most healthy of them all (Lord know there’s probably one more out of the other 500 brands that is healthier, lol) but I prefer the taste of these.

My favorites are the Orange Starfruit and Raspberry Acerola flavors.

I am currently drinking a Dragonfruit flavored water. I expected it to taste flavorful and delicious, like other revved up waters, but this one is not very good. I have not tried the other flavors yet, but I HOPE they are better than this one. I am disappointed. 2 out of 5 stars

The dragonfruit somehow tastes exactly like licking the adhesive on an envelope.

I love the dragonfruit snapple because it always gives me a rush of energy especially if I drink 3 or more. I would sacrifice taste over effectiveness energy wise any day of the week. Also strawberry kiwi contains the same amount of antioxidants as the dragonfruit does.

Well, as would have it, I called Snapple to find out why I could not find the Snapple Antioxidant water anywhere in the capital city of my state. I have a medical condition in which I get incredibly dehydrated, and drinking a bottle of Raspberry Acerola was like getting an IV-it was delicious, too. Tried a couple others-not so much.
Soooooooooooo….as most of you probably know Raspberry Acerola has been discontinued-it was always the most dificult to find as well. Only the Dragonfruit is allegedly available in my area…God-the best electolyte drink around-and all the Green/Black teas knocked it (oh yeah-Vitamin Water-ick.) Anybody find any other drink with alot of electrolytes please post on this site….Thanks-sorry to ramble…..Leslie
