ever have to make a decision that
tore your heart apart?
i did yesterday when i said goodbye to
Maddie, our family cat who has always been
there for me in good and bad.
but she got too sick to carry on and had to be
laid to rest.
Goodbye old friend…

That is really hard!! My condolences. I had a cat myself many years ago now, so I can relate.

I know how hard it is to say good-bye to a friend. I haven’t had another cat quite like my Georgie since he died several years ago. Praying for your comfort.

So sorry Liz! That IS a very hard thing to do.
Remember that Maddie depended on you to do what she could not do for herself, including letting her go humanely instead of allowing her to suffer. You thought of her instead of yourself, and you acted as a responsible owner should–no matter how hard it was for you.
Beverly, I really like what you are saying. That is exactly right. There is no need for guilt.
This is heartbreaking. I have a cat and I love him to death. I can’t imagine life without him.
