So you’re at the gym and everyone around you has earplugs in. Ever wonder what they are listening to? Well, here’s your chance.
According to a survey conducted by Fitness First, the UK’s largest gym operator, it’s pretty much ‘cheesy pop music’ – music that you’d never admit to listening to normally.

Workout Warning For Those Who Read While They Exercise.
Okay, time to ‘fess up.
Do you read while you exercise ?
Cause if you do, what you read while you’re walking the treadmill or riding the bike can have an impact on how you feel at the end of the exercise session.
According to new research, reading fitness magazines is not the best choice. Better to stick to National Geographic or House and Garden. Images of superfit people with sculpted arms and six-pack abs will only leave you feeling depressed, anxious, and in a lower mood after exercise that you were before starting.

Harnessing Human Energy – A Green Microgym.
Could this be the wave of the future – human-powered energy-generating gyms.
I have a hard enough time getting to any gym. But maybe I’d be more enthusiatic if I knew that my sweat (and tears) was able to generate enough electricity to power a music system or DVD player.
There’s a guy in Seattle who is working on making this happen. Adam Boesel, a personal trainer, is setting up The Total Body Turnaround – a green microgym – in Portland, Oregon.
