The Big Five Personality Traits.

Back in the 1970’s two research teams (Paul Costa and Robert McCrae (National Institutes of Health), and Warren Norman ( University of Michigan)/Lewis Goldberg ( University of Oregon)) discovered that most human personality traits can be boiled down to five broad dimensions of personality, regardless of language or culture. The ‘Big Five’ as they became known are…
- Extroversion
- Openness
- Agreeableness
- Conscientiousness
- Neuroticism
So, want to know where you sit on the Big Five Scale?
Then take this free personality test to find out.

Yeah, I would agree we’re all pretty much a mixture of those 5. Shame is some traits are seen as more valuable than others.
Not so sure that those are held to be true anymore. They kind of left out a few colors in the pallet. Kind of like describing a Rainbow using only 5 colors, say Black, Brown, Green, Blue, Gray…..doesn’t quite cover it at all.
If you look at the work done by Marilyne Woodsmall and Wyatt Woodsmall, the developers of “Personality Language” they actually have 9 basic profiles and at least 2 subsets within each.
They more accurately describe human behavior as a whole and they have much more practical applications as well as tons and tons of testing and modeling to back up their identification methodology.
Got to http://www.PersonalityLanguage.com or http://www.TheScienceOfidiots.com
to find out more. Think I have those right. They also did are are getting ready to come out with a new book on the subject. Cool stuff.
I know we use them to zero in our sales copy and we have some unbelievable results.
