Okay so I hate to see any kind of animal experimentation, and I sure hope that this poor chimp only has to spend a limited time in the awful plastic box and is otherwise treated well.
But Holy Crap! The implications of this are astounding for humans.
Why do they even need to start with Chimps? Seems like plenty of paraplegic humans would be very willing experimental subjects.
That wasn’t a chimp, it was another kind of monkey. I am sure they started with monkeys because there has to be some kind of interface between the arm and the monkey. That has to be perfected. No matter how paralyzed I was I would not let someone dig into my brain and implant something that may or may not work and could kill me.
Oops, okay. Not a very careful viewing or analysis on my part.
But it still seems as though the implications of this research are pretty cool. If I’d lost use of my limbs, I suspect I’d be hoping really hard it turned out to work for humans too.
Ey ihr zwei tut mir leid!
das ist sehr interessant was da gemacht wird. Keine Angst dem Affen gehts besser als euch zwei, da bin ich mir sicher!
