What you see is what you get. Ah, yes the time honored non-spoken contract between consumer and business establishment. Well, maybe not quite as honored as we’d like to think. In fact, fast food joints have been doing the ol’ bait-and-switch bit on you for years, but you don’t care, do you?
A cry escapes your orange-stained lips, “B-b-but Arby’s sauce is so good!”
No! It’s crap, and you know it.
Fast food: Ads vs. Reality is an “ongoing Pulitzer caliber project” that’s delightfully voyeuristic, investigative, and kinda gross all at the same time:
Each item was purchased, taken home, and photographed immediately. Nothing
was tampered with, run over by a car, or anything of the sort. It is an accurate
representation in every case. Shiny, neon-orange, liquefied pump-cheese, and all.

Reality is sometimes ugly, ugh!

…and really salty.
Some of them don’t look all that bad, like the Subway sandwich.
