I am not runway material. I have often looked for inspirational sites on the net - and cruise jewelry sites (I have a difficult time finding the kind of sites I want to look at ... fine jewelry bores me.).. I don't know about you all but I look through magazines, books & catalogs for what I like - ideas in color, problem solving in design, fashion ideas (what's popular.) and basic style challenges ( what do other people do with stone donuts? What colors seem to go with Hematite? sort of thing)... I gather catalog pics and past them in a book... when I want to create something I look back at it all and choose - I never follow a book/design exactly, I use it as a starting point. I also do a lot of experimenting - starting with a problem and then try things of my own until I get what I like Seeing other people's work stimulates my own creativity and makes me think about what is possible.
