Jewelry and Beading

An Amethyst Remembrance of Poetry & Jewelry

May 30, 2005 by Tammy Powley
Filed under General Jewelry Musings

I love it when I discover jewelry-related poetry. This is from my favorite poet, Emily Dickinson:

I HELD a jewel in my fingers
And went to sleep.
The day was warm, and winds were prosy;
I said: “’T will keep.”

I woke and chid my honest fingers, -
The gem was gone;
And now an amethyst remembrance
Is all I own

Thank you, Emily!

    This poem is used as a song in the anime "yami no matsuei", and a lady (I don’t know her name, character’s name was Maria Won) sings it. It’s called Amethyst Remembrance, it’s done beautifully, so if you find it please to me how to download and the website address my mial box is wangqiaoqiao2002@163.com
