Jewelry and Beading

Autumn Arbor

Make Art Monday!

Autumn Arbor

I finished this piece a few weeks ago, but as usual, was struggling with a name. I’m not 100% satisfied with “Autumn Arbor,” but hey…

The neckband is tubular herringbone, the “lattice” is freeform right-angle-weave, and the tendrils are modified square stitch (you can find instructions for this last stitch in the Aug/Sep issue of Beadwork). All the parts are made separately and then stitched together. The lattice is embellished with stitched on accent beads.

LOL!! Shirley, promise me you won’t kill! You’ve obviously got a lot of talent yourself…we just work differently, that’s all :-) Glad to have you here!

Thanks Sue :-) I’m pretty happy with how it turned out…had no idea in the beginning!
