Sometimes I’m embarrassed to show you the stages before a necklace is finished, but with this one, I know just where it’s going and I’m really excited about it!

I’m thinking of an ocean theme, since I’ve been using paua shells and pearls, and have been constructing these three dimensional barnacle-like thingies. As usual, no name has come to me yet.

Cyndi,
this is going to be one lovely piece. I can see why you’re already excited. Can’t wait to see this one finished.
Thanks Heather! I made a lot of progress on it yesterday
oh… but no blue? well there is the gunmetal, love that color. Lovely, though, Cyndi, as always, don’t mean to sound critical . I like the red threesome.. reminds me of the High Renaissance – over the top wealth and beauty. Expect to see them around the neck Botticelli’s Venus or Flora!
LOL!! Funny girl! Ahem, I can’t *always* use blue. Or green. Or even purple. Gunmetal, brown, amber, and red were screaming to have their turns. My husband says he thinks it’s going to be an elegant steampunk masterpiece
Reminds me of what a friend once asked me, Cyndi – who makes the rules anyway??
True about blue — I love certain colors so very much they keep appearing in what I make & wear.. when I try to get myself to change, I don’t wear the new colors. WASTE of money.
I am going through a blue period. Bought some peacock Blue shirts and I need to make a necklace set to match.
Ever look at the delicious colors of a coral reef??? pretty. stuff. Nature does daring stuff.
Steam punk terminology still confuses me. Generational ignorance, I suspect.
Naaaaah, no ignorance. Just unfamiliarity. Think Victorian or Edwardian style coupled with modern materials. Steampower transported to the modern age.
AAAAAAAAWWWWsome! Be glad to see finish and how you do it.
Thank you, Nileen! I hope it lives up to your expectations!
