Crazy About Jewelry! The Expert Guide for Buying, Selling and Caring for Your Jewelry is your guide to all aspects of collecting, organizing, caring for, and even recreating your jewelry collection. This is not a book about designing and making jewelry techniques; rather it is a very complete and fun to read guide for the buyer and collector. Susan Eisen writes about:
- Ten common jewelry buying mistakes
- What to do with Grandma’s wedding ring
- Getting your significant other to get you a gift that you love
- Tips on cleaning, storing, and taking care of your collection
- How to make your jewelry more comfortable
- Tips for mixing and matching jewelry styles
There are several sections of the book that were really helpful to me. The first was the chapter on organizing your collection, where Susan takes you through the steps to determine what organizing style will work best for you. I also really liked the chapters on unusual ways to wear your jewelry and ways to redesign what you’ve got. Susan also has an online club for people who are “Crazy About Jewelry.” Altogether, I think this book is worthwhile, especially for those of us who amass huge quantities of jewelry as well as make it!

Oh please pick me! I have 3 jewelry boxes, and jewelry hanging on a wall. Some of my jewelry was bought, made by me or was my great-grandmother’s. I would love to see some tips on organizing and taking care of it all!!
Sounds like good reasons to me!!
I’ll give this a shot…In addition to being crazy about jewelry, I’m crazy about my walls. I am currently hanging all of my necklaces on curtain rods, which instead of being installed over my windows are drilled directly into the side walls. I can’t keep putting holes in my walls like this, my landlord doesn’t like it and they might fall in!
Thanks!
It’s worth a shot for me too! I have been hanging my jewelry on a window screen by litttle hooks. I also have lots of scrap gold and silver jewerly and loose gemstones and have no idea where to begin. Thank for the opportunity.
Hope I get picked I have jewelry coming out of everywhere along with over 2,000 gemstones in my collection. I have over 10 jewelry boxes full including a free-standing jewelry armoire. I really need some help, plus I really love to read! Thank you, Brandi
My wife is crazy about jewelry. We came from China several months ago, and now live in miami. She brought some of her jewelry from hometown. We are not good at English. So many jewelries, she don’t know the English name. She has F2 visa, it’s not allowed to work. So my wife stay at home everyday. I know she is very loney. I want to get this book for my wife as a present. If she got this book, she will learn some tips on taking care of her jewelries, and enjoy her time.
The book sounds fabulous I love reading about jewellery generally & I enjoy making my own kooky designs! It would be useful to read about how to care for my collection better, and tips for Grandma’s wedding ring! Peace, Love & Cupcakes,
Mel K.
Oh My!! That book sounds great!! I have always loved jewelry and just received a good amount of jewelry from an old friends mother and need ideas of what to do with the jewelry, some of it is not really what I like so I thought I could do something with it but not sure what, so this book would really help me!! Thanks for the opportunity to receive it. Good Luck to all!!
Wow, Sounds like a great book.
I love getting info on jewelry.

I love jewelry, collecting it, making it and wearing it. This book sounds like it is chock full of advice I could put to good use, especially tips for organizing and wearing jewelry and caring for it, not to mention tips for “Getting your significant other to get you a gift that you love.”
Thanks for the opportunity to win this book!
I don’t have the personal jewelry collections the others have but i do make jewelry and would be interested in how to know what kinds of things compliment different types of people and any tips I could share with my customers, including care and stoage. Making jewelry does not stop with putting it together if you have a good relationship with your customers. thanks, dori
I have loved jewelry since I got my first adjustable ring at about age 4. It pinched me and made a blood blister and I loved it anyway. I have tons of jewelry, beads, broken bits and odments I would love to know how to better care for. I have vintage jewelry and my own abstract wacky designs. Please choose me. I would love to be able to take better care of my jewelry and love to have more ways to wear it. Thanks for the chance!!
I think this would be a great book for me as it would help me better understand how to deal with customme who abuse their pieces, help me explain to them how to care for their pieces and help them shop better for what they want. I also think it would help give me a better understanding of how to offer my pieces to the public.

I need this book for the above reasons! I need the help
This sounds like a “Must Have” book for all of us jewelry-making addicts. Thanks for spreading the word about this giveaway.
What, throwing it all in my jewelry drawer to become part of the Big-Tangled-Mess is not the right way?
Oh dear.
I make jewelry because I love jewelry. I started making my own, when I was in grade school. Kiddie jewelry looked tacky to me. Since I now make and sell jewelry, I’d love to have more information that would help me guide my customers on how to choose that perfect piece.
I need it!!! I have boxes and boxes of jewelry that I have collected to take apart (when I can find them), I have over 150 necklaces that didn’t sell this season. I probably have most beat because I am 70 years old and I think I still have some jewelry from the 60’s. I am a total beadaholic! Filled (trashed out) my beadroom, took over 1/2 of the familyroom and have started in on the Floridaroom. I would never use the gr**n word to you and I don’t mind bugs! If you live in Florida, you get used to them.
I need to learn more about jewelry all of it from the making to the preserving. I have things that I have made but need to remake and not sure how. I want to learn other beading techniques as well. Someday I even want to learn how to make my own lampwork beads. Someday when I have the money. Until then I am just a avid bead stringer that wants to learn more.
This sounds like a good book.
I need it because I have no style at all–maybe I can learn from this book.
Thanks for the opportunity.
Hi , this books sounds great, I would love this book for my collection as i have so many beads & unsure what to do with them. I believe
this book can help. Thankyou.
I need it cause i absolutely love jewelry and i wear it all the time, i have 3 sibilings that they love to borrow jewelry and they loose it and i try to organize it by not having tangles and knots without ruin them but i put them in jewelry boxes and plastic container and individual Ziploc bag(s) and some jewelry are hard to wear by season too but sometimes i try to keep wearing them but anywho i love jewerly and i make a few but unless if you have the time to make into a jewelry so I heart Jewerly A lot
i want to learn how to make this stuff! cant be too hard right? maybe i’ll save some money along the way
Recreating my jewelry – that’s the update I need. Thanks for the giveaway.
Hi, What a fun, useful sounding book! I really need to know how to organize my jewelry, and unusual ways to wear my jewelry! Thanks very much, Cindi
“How to make your jewelry more comfortable”
Sounds interesting… I am “built for comfort, not for speed” so that information may be just what I need!
Well this sounds like a very useful book. I sure can use it. I always enjoy wearing different kinds of jewelry, and buy it often from thrift stores and online auctions. I have also had fun reading some of the creative methods the readers use to store jewelry, they have given me some ideas!
I need this book to help me become a better jewerlyer. The more I know the more I know and practice. Thanks for giving me a chance to win.
PICK ME plzz!!…I am really interested in jewelery making
I spend a lotta money every year supporting my jewelry habit. Have my own business and I teach others about the addiction too. I tell them in classes I am not responsible for their beading addiction, but I highly encourage it! Jewelry is literally my life and I love it. The book sounds fun and fabulous, I would love to own my own copy. I would like to learn these tips & tricks to help my customers better choose items and take care of them. Thanks!
uh, who DOESN’T need this book?
I would like to see what I can learn from this book, you never know!
I need this book to get my jewelry collection in order! And, because diamonds are a girl’s best friend
Your book looks fantastic…I love & live jewelry..and would love to read your book, find out all the neat things you have put in there about the care, storage and any other tip I can find to use in my daily life….I make my own jewelry, and would love to incorporate your book into my designs….thanks for the consideration….Cheryl
I have a 3 year old granddaughter Jenna who loves to wear and organize my jewelry. and i have lots of it. this book would greatly help me with my organizating my jewelry and so would Jenna!
I would enjoy very much learning the proper way to take care of things. I have a tendency to wear old costume jewelry when I shouldn’t and then I regret the damage later. I think that I wouldn’t damage the jewelry as much if it was in the best condition possible before I wear it. I particularly have a tendency to ruin old “pearls” and pins with glass “jewels.”
i would love to win this book
thanks judy
I’m really interested in starting to make beaded bracelets and it brought me to this website. So I’m excited about an opportunity in winning this book!!!!!!!!!!
Pick Me! Pick Me!
I’m kkrraazzee about jewelry! If I win this book, I can finally figure out what to do about my silver necklace that turned black!
Judy,
Thank you for writing this book for all of us jewelry and beadaholics! I love to take abandoned or inherited ‘junk’ jewelry and create new and fun pieces. Sounds like you have some great and inspirational ideas. Would love to be picked!
I have just started receiving email from jewerly and beading, I find this very interesting! I’m new at this and always dreamed of having my own jewerly business. Maybe this can help me get some ideas.
I would love some inspiration on creating designs from “recycled jewelry”…this sounds like the ticket! and of course, I would give the book and you credits for my inspiration!
I really need this book. I have a bunch of jewelry that was my mother’s and I don’t know what to do with most of it. I don’t even know the best way to clean it.
Thanks for the giveaway.
I would love to win the book, because there is still so much I need to learn to improve my Etsy shop. I hope one day to be able to make a decent living off of what I love to do and that’s crafting!
OHHHHH!!! I so need to figure out what to do with my jewellery! I want to be able to figure out how to organize, detangle, clean and find my earrings, rings, bracelets and bangles. I want to thank you for a great draw!
Cheers, Denise
Hi Cyndi,
I would love this book! I am a bibliophile, I just can’t get enough! I am very interested in what to do with grandma’s diamond, and the 10 comom jewelry mistakes I could probably use.
Thanks!
I there..I just found your site. The book looks great! I only need to find the time to read it, – because of my lack of organization and large volume of beads and findings….it takes me so long to get through everything. The shot of the work table on your site seems quite organized compared to mine, which is slowly turning to clutter around the entire house! Help! Can’t seem to get a handle on the organization part of this. Thanks. Melanie
Oh I would certainly be able to use this book! I have a mass quantity of jewelry I need to organize and clean and this book would be able to tell me how. And then I would be able to wear it all again…If I won this I would be the happiest person alive….:)
