What’s Up Wednesday

French-Inspired Jewelry by Kaari Meng

This in a lovely book, big on eye-candy, lighter on technique. This is not a beginner book, so make sure that you have a few already that cover basic wireworking, stringing, and finishing techniques. If you are simply looking for ideas and inspiration, I can’t think of many that are much better, especially if you’re a fan of vintage beads.

I liked looking at the shapes of the pieces that Kaari created, and the lush photo layouts on each page. I most likely won’t reproduce a single thing from this book exactly, but the sensibility will probably find it’s way into my work :-)
