I agree with all the others who have written in….without Carol and the other fantastic sewing, crafting, and gardening shows, HGTV isn’t worth a glance. I never watch it, but did come searching for Carol because it is Christmas and I was hoping to find the “ornament a day” that used to be on the internet. I also agree with the comment made previously: give ME ten thousand plus dollars and I can redecorate my home, too!

I too miss Carol Duvall and the Quilting and Crafting shows. I’d bet a thousand times or more people craft then redo their houses. I don’t watch HGTV anymore either. Maybe they should do a survey and ask what people they want to see.

i so agree that HGTV and DIY are generally no longer worth watching. Designer challenge…oh, please for 10,000 I could redo a room. The days with decorating sense and the best designers seems to be gone when the economy needs it most. i loved Carol and the creativity and variety and her personality! Things you’d actually want to try – including the viewers shoebox ideas. Seems like a special or a show with a lineup of some of her favorite guests would not be that hard to pull off. Hope HGTV and DIY get these remarks and actually care.
I appreciate this site, but would like to be able to search for the show I want.

I miss Carol!!! It seems all that’s on HGTV is remodeling and selling. I enjoy a few of those, but not to the exclusion of Carol and other craft shows. HG could just go back and show all of Carol’s old shows. I don’t think we crafters would mind! We love you, Carol!

I totally agree with you. I also miss “Gardening By The Yard” with Paul James. I learned a lot of tips from these shows, and they both had such such a pleasant sense of humor.

I to am very upset about the Carol Duvall Show. I always watched her. Planned my day around it. HGTV & DIY have really gone down the drain. It is all real estate. I am a senior citizen & don’t care for all that. There are not any craft shows on at all anymore. I would think with the economy like it is there would more of an interest in doing things yourself. Oh well who listens to us old people any way? Just wanted to get my 2 cents worth in. rbootsie

I went to the HGTV home website and found ‘contact us’ and wrote them asking a question regarding Carol Duval and other crafting shows that we are not able to view anymore. Perhaps it will help bring some of the shows that we all love back to our TV screen.

I, like Barbara, no longer watch HGTV. I find no craft shows worth my time. I used to enjoy the diversity of projects on shows like The Carol Duvall Show. HGTV seems to be making no effort to produce quality craft shows, so I have sadly given up and removed them from my favorites.

Sorry to say that I no longer watcg HGTV since the demise of your craft shows. This is not a deverse station any longer.

Bring back your inspirational crafters, especially Carol Duvall. I learned many things from you Carol and hope to see you and your friends back in the near future either on HGTV or another outlet.

Attention HGTV there is a dire need for this type of programing………
