Jewelry and Beading

Cathedral & Pearl Necklace

patrioticnecklace.jpgI call this my Patriotic Necklace project because it combines white pearl with red and blue cathedral crystal beads. Unfortunately, it’s really difficult to get a good picture of these cathedral beads because you really need a lot of light hitting them to get the whole affect. I did manage to find some decent photos of them at Land of Odds, but even then, you need to see these in person to really appreciate them.

  1. Would be nice to see a close-up of this necklace if you get one. The image looks like its been scanned.

I see what you meen now about the patriotic necklace. I thought it was pearl and green beads till I read about the red and blue beads. Now I can sort of see the red and blue. It is a very pretty necklace in either case though.

Thanks. Yes, the beads just don’t show up well unless they are under a lot of light. When I bought these at a bead show, the vendor had a light shining right over the top of them and they were breathtaking, but of course, once I got them home I realized they only look like that under a light :( Still they are pretty, just not as pretty.

I’ve down alot of necklaces to know that this is a work of art.
