Create a Glass Studio

glassstudio.bmpThis is a rare look at my glass studio (slash garage) when it is semi-organized. It doesn’t stay like this for very long unfortunately. I opted for the garage because of the mess you make with glass and the fact that I have a lot of precious little hairy feet running around my house, so inside is not an option.

In my article “Create a Glass Studio,” I cover the basics you need to get started with fused glass. The most expensive piece of equipment you’ll need to fusing glass is the kiln, but really, you just can’t do that without a kiln. My kiln originally came from Arrow Springs, and the prices range starting at around a few hundred dollars on up, depending the size.
