I was asked to show a few close-up shots of Gypsy Magic, specifically to focus on the wrapped loops and some of the filigree detail, so here they are! In fact, I’ve decided that next week I’m going to post a tutorial on how to make a wrapped loop; since it is one of the foundational skills in adding wire work to your jewelry, it’s a great skill to review :-)

The chain, findings, filigree pieces, and brass beads came from Vintaj. The crystals and stone beads came from Fire Mountain Gems, and the striped glass beads are from Murano…I picked them up during our Italy trip this spring. The Czech button with the dragonfly is one that I found at a quilt show…I cut off the button shank and epoxied it to one of the large Vintaj brass filigree pieces.

That’s so colorful! I totally confess to having a weakness for purple (something my sister has shamelessly exploited *laughs*). That is just so beautiful.

Thank you, Barbara! I love almost every color, but I’ve got a special weakness for purple too ;-)
