Fall color report

Pantone has your color report for fall ready and available as a pdf file. Overall, they are referring to their report as a “Study in Contrasts”, with strong choices like American Beauty red contrasting with the more subtle Rapture Rose and Iron gray contrasting with soft Creme Brulee.

Most of the colors for fall are warm, which I do tend to like since I’m a red head, but overall, I’m just not that excited about this forecast personally. We’ll see though…
Something I truly love can be found on the Rings & Things website: they’ve got links to the beads in their catalog which work with each of the profiled Pantone colors. What a wonderful idea! Thanks guys
Do you pay much attention to the color and style forecasts? I vasillate between telling myself that it matters because I’m trying to sell my work, and feeling that I really don’t give a fig. What about you?

Although I think jewelry artists should work with any color they choose in their design, adding colors from the Pantone color reports will mean your pieces will match well with the upcoming fashion trends. For this reason, I have decided to create polymer clay color mixing recipes that are inspired by the Pantone colors, so polymer clay bead artists can create beads that coordinate with these trends.
That’s fabulous, Cindy! Please let us know when you’ve got that together, and I’ll post your link for everyone. I see you already have a whole bunch of color recipes available on your blog. (Click Cindy’s link and it will take you there!)
