Is this gorgeous or what? And, you know. This is artistic but still wearable. So many times I find beadweavers make jewelry pieces that I just would not find comfortable to wear. Any way, if you want to try your hand at this, it’s free from Bead & Button’s web site. They call it Bead Around the Bend:

Work tubular peyote stitch around curvy drinking straws to create a lightweight necklace with pizzazz

You can enclose almost anything in peyote stitch, but these durable drinking straws work particularly well because you can string right through their hollow cores. Worked in bold colors, the sinuous curves make a striking converstion piece

No prob. It is pretty. Love the colors

I purchased the book this pattern was in and started to work the peyote stich around the crazy straw but I’m at the point where the straw is very curvy and it’s looking awful. What’s the secret to knowing what side to increase or decrease beads on and how?
