This glass bead is on the Frantz Art Glass site, available for $1,000 each:

Murrini Tiger by Mario Dei Rossi. This rare Tiger murrini was created by the Murano glass master Mario Dei Rossi using the fused rod method of murrini making. The Tiger murrini measures 18mm diameter and is 3mm thick. A true collectors item and one of several different murrini offered by Frantz Art Glass at this time.

It is gorgeous though, isn’t it?

    STUNNING!

Anyone who can do that with glass . . . . I bet there is LESS than a handful, and thus the $$$. And the skill involved. He must love what he does, because it shows in the artisanship and craftmanship.
