Make Art Monday!
Well, here it is, the last Make Art Monday of the year
I want to leave you with a piece that I’m quite fond of: it uses some of my own lampwork glass beads, the colors of autumn that I love so much, stone leaves from Fire Mountain Gems, and Vintaj brass chains, beads, and toggle. As you can probably see, this necklace combines strung sections with some basic wired links. See my post on making a wrapped loop for the directions.
It’s been a good year, hasn’t it? I look forward to sharing lots more projects, new artists, calls for entries, book reviews, and all the rest with you in 2009!

Golden Harvest

I’m looking forward to working in more copper this year. Do you find the palette that matches well with brass limiting in any way?
I hadn’t really thought about it, Paul, but of course it probably is limiting. When I choose brass and copper, I naturally gravitate towards the colors that I think look best with them, and those happen to also be the colors that I like the best: purples, greens, browns, turquoise. I’m not much for primary colors or simple pastels, and because of that, I tend to limit my palette anyway!
Thanks for pointing that out..it’s good to keep these things in mind
Really nice!
Thank you, Montre
This is really a nice piece. Although, I don’t have much idea of jewelry designing, but I am fond of buying unique pieces. Most of the times, I do online shopping by seeing the product catalog of jewelry manufacturer and placing the order. Fashion Trimming is one of the companies, from where I love to buy jewelry. It manufactures all types of beaded, glass, wooden and metal jewelry.
