How to Drill Holes in Glass

One of the most often asked questions I get about glass in general is how to go about drilling a hole through it. It’s actually surprisingly easy if you use a drill press. A few years ago, I took a trip to a girlfriend’s house (DD Hess) and she gave me the OJT on how to use one. DD is not afraid of power tools at all, so it was great to learn from her. I knew my husband could have taught me, but he’s not the best at showing me how to do this sort of thing without driving me insane, so it was worth the drive to DD’s house! But, in his defense, he did go out and buy me a drill press from Sears. They only go for about $100, and you can drill glass, wood, plastic, and metal, so it’s pretty handy for jewelry, especially if you don’t have the steadiest of hand like moi.
