Technique Tuesday!
This is a project that I filmed for HGTV a couple of years ago. It was filmed in the heat of an early summer day, and didn’t air until mid-December. It was a trip, I’ll tell you that!

Materials:
vintage optical test lens (to purchase lenses)
photo to use on pendant (original will not be harmed)
clear fixative spray (Krylon Clear Acrylic Spray)
drop loop
head pin
assorted beads
Golden’s Polymer Medium or Diamond Glaze
bail or jump ring
Tools:
photo-editing software on computer (colored photocopies can be substituted)
printer
1-1/2 inch hole punch
paintbrush
pliers: chain nose and round wire cutters

Wow! What a necklace, absolutely love it! Was just looking for nice pieces in red
Thanks for a great blog too. / byZarah.com
Hi Zarah! Thanks for your visit, and I hope maybe you’ll get a chance to make a wonderful piece in red for yourself, whether it’s this one or something different
What a gorgeous necklace! Just for clarification, what is a hangtag and where do I get one? Thanks! Joani
Thanks Joani! The tag is the little piece of metal with a hole in it that you adhere to the back of the glass at the bottom. Some have one hole and some have two…it doesn’t matter which you use. I get them from Rings&Things: http://www.rings-things.com
What are they called at Rings and Things? I can’t find them under “hang tags”. Thank you; sorry to be a pest, but I love your necklace and really want to make one! Joani
That’s because I should have looked up the name before I told you about them! They’re called “Drop Loops” in the catalog. #43-003 is the product number
