Is anyone going to Tucson?

If so, will you stick me in your suitcase? I know, I know…you can’t…you need all the extra space for the beads you’re going to bring home. {sigh}
For anyone who’s not familiar with the Tucson phenomenon, let me just tell you that all the big bead shows and bead makers and bead suppliers and everyone who has anything to do with beads gets together there in February of each year. It’s pure and simple a bead-fest fantasy. Here’s a Tucson show guide that will give you all the cold hard facts. Right now, I’m just specializing in the fantasy aspect. And drooling a lot over the idea of one year being able to go!
I really think that the b5Media network should send me to Tucson, don’t you? I mean, someone’s gotta report on how fabulous it is.
So is there anyone going who will be my roving reporter this year?

I am hoping to go…need money, though! If you’ve never been, it’s the most incredible experience you’ll ever have. Be prepared to be overwhelmed! (But in a good way)
Hi Mary,
Do you mean the Gem Show? My friend, Marcie, and I just recently started a jewelry design business and we’ve been talking about a gem and bead show that [I think] is sometime in February in Tucson. I’ll check into it more because if we all go, maybe we can all meet up at the show? We’re actually from AZ; where are you from?
There are many many gem and bead shows, all running around the same time. If any of you go, I need you to take lots of pictures and send me your impressions!! I’m hoping for next year…
Rosemary,
I am living in Salt Lake presently. I did live in Tucson for about 4 years. I was interested in & making jewelry before that. I have LOTS now, but having difficulty selling (mostly because I don’t like that part). Perhaps we can meet up.

Cyndi,
Got a new camera just in time. Now if I can get money for the trip, I’ll be set!. By then, I should know how to work the camera!
Mary
What a great trip you’re going to have! Take lots of pictures, ok? But mostly, have FUN!!
