I am a Jewelry Designer and Caster living in South Florida. I cast organic items from nature including twigs, leaves and flowers. I take the natural twig and will add on wax items like butterflys, peace signs, hearts and flowers that I create, and cast the piece as one. You can directly cast any organic material that will burnout cleanly in the kiln. I usually use sterling silver, but I have also used 14kt gold. Each one is unique and made from nature.
I also burnout string and hemp to make my Forget Me Knot Rings, that are used as a fundraiser for the Humane Society. I tie each piece of string individually and cast it in sterling silver.
