Jewelry and Beading

Jewelry Odds & Ends at Etsy

john-etsy.jpgJohn Mathieu works with manufacturers in Rhode Island to come up with unique jewelry components. Since he also lives in America’s jewelry capital, he stumbles upon unusual jewelry odds and ends sometimes, so he has started selling them in small lots via Etsy.com – You can find him over there under Jewelry Things.

These are great jewelry components! I’ve used similar ones in my own work. You can give them an antique look by using a black patina. Polish them to remove the dark from the exposed surfaces. The recessed areas will remain dark giving them a beautiful depth.

I LOVE John Mathieu! I’ve known him for many years now, and he’s a great guy. I’m delighted to see you using some of those marvelous vintage components he digs up from forgotten warehouses and who-knows-where…
