I’m a Canadian lampworker, I recently completed one of my first pieces of jewellery and was pretty pleased with how it turned out. I’d been making some beads in a style called ‘faux boro’, the colours that appear in the glass are so pretty. I’ve also recently started doing bead crochet, and was delighted when I found some seed beads that I thought would work nicely with my faux boro.
Here’s the finished piece – I hope you like it!

Aren’t these beads gorgeous! I like the way Louise put this together very much…the seed beads are just perfect!

If that’s a first piece of jewellery, I think I have a lot to learn before mine are comparable!
This is the first piece I have seen in a LONG time that I crave! Absolutely gorgeous.
thank you so much for your lovely comments! If you knew how challenged I am in the jewellery making department you’d laugh!
Wow!!! that is very pretty. Hard to believe it is your first piece. Yes, those seed beads are beautiful. I really like the thickness of it. Oh my, I think I crave it too.
WOW! That is amazing for a first piece, especially for someone who is “challenged” in the jewelry making department. (LOL Give yourself a little more credit – you are very talented, just might need a little confidence boost is all!) I can’t wait to see what you come up with in the future.
I have had the pleasure of actually touch this piece. It is even more beautiful in person.
Louise, keep going!
See, Louise? The verdict is in, and everyone wants more more more!!

I’m floored by all these comments, it’s a good job it’s not winter yet, I don’t think I’d be able to squeeze my hat on my head
