New Year’s Goals

I like to call these “goals” rather than “resolutions” because I think that taking on a do or die attitude can put too much pressure on most people and lead to failure. Even if you don’t manage to completely make your goal, I bet that more than likely you still seem to accomplish something. With resolutions, you either do it or you don’t.
That said – What are your goals as far as jewelry (and life in general if you want) for 2007?
I’ve got a few, but to look here at just this blog and consider this question myself, I think I’m going to keep doing what I’ve been doing, though maybe just more of it, as in posting a little more often. Otherwise, from what I can tell, my readers have liked what I’ve posted over 2006, and I have also enjoyed blogging here, so why mess with that?
Okay, your turn – name some jewelry, beading, and/or life goals for 2007.

My goal this year is to start using all the beads I’ve collected this year! I have so many beautiful one….it’s time to take them out of storage!
Good for you! I know what you mean. I used to be awful about hording beads for “the” perfect piece of jewelry. Then you never end up using them. It reminds me of my grandmother who puts new sheets in the linen closet and never uses them because they are “too good” to use.
Well, I’ve already started! I have this beautiful piece of clear crystal quartz from Nepal that I bought 10 years ago and now I wear it proudly on a new design I made last week! Now, I need to find a pattern for my gorgeous toggle clasp I bought for WAY too much money! Beautiful things should be USED!
I have three gemstone necklaces strung and ready for final crimping.
But I have been really busy restringing and repairing jewelry for relatives.
This morning I created a beaded angel in copper and gold and it took me 2 hours of tedious sewing. I liked it so much I hung it on my angel tree FOR ME! Some of my angel ornaments I plan to sell in the fall, but if I keep going like I am, they will all end up on my tree!
