Francisco Costa, guest judge
Make an avant garde outfit based on the zodiac with an ousted former contestant as a partner? Ok, not my thing, but the results were fascinating!
Spoilers ahead…don’t click unless you want to know the results of the challenge!

Jerell and Jennifer, the winners
Even though the design made Tim nervous, Jerell explained his idea well enough to have Tim telling him that he’d either win or completely blow it. Never one to play it safe, Jerell went for it, and the results were dramatic and quite alluring. It wouldn’t have been my pick, I have to say, but I can see why it won the challenge. And you know what? I really like Jerell’s attitude about partnering people…I swear he can work with anyone, which will be a great advantage in his future career!

Leanne and Emily
Personally, I once more preferred Leanne’s design. It was strong, interesting, completely unexpected (which I thought was the point of avant garde), and was worked quite well by her model. Leanne and Emily worked so well together, another plus for them.

Blayne and Stella
Blayne and Stella worked well together too, but it just didn’t work out. All week I was wondering whose design was said to be “pooping fabric” by Michael Kors, and as soon as I saw Blayne’s finished piece, I knew
Bye bye, Blayne…your silliness will be missed. Also leaving this week is Terri, which really shocked me. I was disappointed in how ungraciously she handled the whole Keith thing, and I have to agree with the guest judge when he chided her for it. Nonetheless, I believe that Terri is a great talent, and I know we haven’t seen the last of her.

I agree with your comment on Jerell’s ability to work w/anyone. That is soooo important, in any industry really, but definitely in fashion and design.
Terri was so dishonest in her portrayal of how things went down with Keith. I am glad everything is on tape so maybe the judges got to see what really happened!! I mean was he supposed to stand there and ask “how can I help” for the whole 2 days?? I know I sure wouldn’t have. I did really like Jerell and Jennifers’ look, KUDOS!
It really turned out to be an eye-opening episode, didn’t it? I’m not sure how much the judges are informed about what goes on behind the scenes, but in this case, Bravo *claimed* that the contestants from previous years that they met up with were the real judges. I guess that means that Michael, Nina, et al were just passing on the news and throwing in their two cents worth.
It just doesn’t make any sense in an industry like fashion to make enemies. It will always come back to bite you. Seems like Terri and Keith already had bad vibes going on from previous episodes.
Get rid of Terri; no one wants to deal with her unprofessional attitude!
