Project Runway…wasn’t that a shocker?

Project Runway, Even Designers Get the Blues
OH. MY. GOSH! Ricky finally got it right. I mean really right! His design was wonderful, although I’d never get my fat old body into it, but it truly had all the elements that the challenge was looking for: iconic style, recognizable Levi’s fashion, new twist. Wow. I’m impressed.

Ricky, the winner!
As much as I was disgusted with Rami’s attitude last week, he seemed back to his normal semi-helpful self this week. And honestly, I liked his dress the best. It was the winner in my book, but it didn’t actually fulfill the judging criteria as well as Ricky’s. At least according to the judges. What do you think?

Rami, my favorite
Victorya going home was a shocker to me. I really didn’t like her piece at all…I’m not even quite sure what to call it. I just know I’d never be caught dead wearing either hers or Jillian’s. While I think she’s a very talented designer, she has certainly never been my favorite character. What did you make of it? I’m still a bit surprised.

Bye-bye, Victorya

WHAT A RIDICULOUS JOKE TO VOTE THIS TALENTED GIRL OFF THE SHOW! PERSONALLY I WOULD HAVE VOTE OFF THE ‘LITTLE BLUE DRESS’ GUY. AND PLEASE SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL THE WINNER TO STOP CRYING ALL THE TIME. CHANNEL THAT ENERGY INTO STAYING OUT OF THE BOTTOM TWO.
Commented on the wrong page….but I agree with Victorya going home. I did not like the coats either. Way to go Ricky!
Monik, I agree that Victorya is extremely talented, even though she wasn’t always totally likeable. But that doesn’t have much to do with talent, huh? Anyway, it is totally a shame that one bad outfit sent her home when some others have had lots of bad outfits…
But. But, hers and Jillian’s outfits were the weakest. I wasn’t real fond of the “little blue dress” either. Chris should have finished those seams and made it more sleek.
Just my opinion
Juanita, it’s just amazing that Ricky finally won something, isn’t it?
HOLY COW!!! Ricky’s dress hit the online Levi’s store today and is already sold out! Check it out:
See the dress at Levi’s
Yes. Although, I wish he would not cry, he made a cute dress. I would have thought the judges would have talked to him as they did Andre in season 2. They told Andre not to cry on the runway anymore.
Oh man! I’ve *got* to see the other seasons
i think Cyndi that you can see the other seasons in youtube
Thanks, Caroline! I just ordered the DVDs for Season One through my library. If I can’t find following seasons, I’ll remember good old YouTube
I wonder how many of Ricky’s dresses they had in the Levi’s online store. I would loved to have gotten one of the Barbies from last season (I think it was last season), and I don’t even collect Barbies. I just lovvvveeee Project Runway!
I wondered that too, Anita. At $168 (I think), they were far from the most expensive dress I’ve ever seen. I wonder if they only planned a very very small run to build excitement?
Though Ricky’s dress was cute and all, he still hasn’t won me over because of he previous failures.
Did you see Christian’s reaction when he didn’t win and then when they told him he was safe? He looked perfectly MIFFED that he didn’t win. That boy needs to take some Midol or learn to control his PMS (pissy man syndrome). I’m glad Victorya’s gone though, she was starting to get on my nerves. Yes, she was talented, but there was something missing there also. It was a good episode, they showed a little more personal info about each of the characters, that was nice.
Ohmygosh, Hope! I thought that Christian was going to have a temper tantrum right on the spot! is outfit was very clever…nothing I’d ever wear, but very clever. But that didn’t mean it should win. I’m sure it really irked him to lose to Ricky. He hasn’t exactly been quiet about his feelings
Christian is such a brat!!! Is it me or is all his stuff reminiscent of the 80’s? He’s too young to be in a time warp.
Oh he is definitely stuck mentally on the ’80s look. All puffy shoulders and super-sleek legs. Been there, done that, ick
I really liked Ricky’s dress though I thought Rami had it going on as usual, it was sure nice to see Ricky finally do something with his experiece.
Sorry ladies, I did not like Victorya from the beginning. I never really saw anything from her that was all that great. She mostly seemd to be gleaning from others and it finally caught up to her. I hope that she develops her talents and blows up the fashion world with something unique and her. ;D
Yeah, my husband and I say that everything Christian does is so very “Thriller”.
Marion, that’s an interesting observation about Victorya. I guess I don’t really see her so much gleaning as just not inspiring to me personally. I think she’s talented though.
Well, honestly, all of them are so much more talented than me, it’s not even funny!
Hope, your husband is exactly right! I can just see Michael Jackson wearing that last outfit
The boy is super-talented, though. Just needs to grow up a bit…well, maybe a lot LOL!
Hey,
Are any of you doing the Levi Strauss challenge?? I think I will.
Ohmygosh! Marion just sent me running to the Levi’s site…I knew nothing about this:
