Question of the month: What’s on your worktable?

I’m kind of embarrassed to show you my worktable!! I didn’t clean it off at the end of the year, and it is much more cluttered than I like it to be. I’ve got several jewelry projects in various stages of “doneness” lying around. That heap of color in the front is a scarf that I knitted from some really nice ribbon yarn right after Christmas, but I haven’t gotten around to doing anything with it yet…you can see the knitting needles sticking up out of the clay jar in the back. There’s an amulet pouch hanging from my lamp, piles of albums full of vintage postcards and photos that I use in altered books and collages, and more loose products than I every should have just sitting out. I got sloppy (for me) at the end of the year.
So how about you? What’s in your wallet…I mean, on your worktable? Would you send me a shot? I’ll post it here if you’re brave enough to take the challenge. Tell us a little about how you work, or let the picture speak for itself! Send all entries to cyndi@b5media.com and use the subject line “Jewelry & Beading Worktable”. I’ll post them as they come in, with links you your site or blog. Come on, I showed you my mess…show me yours?

Ohhh, I wish I had a work table. Right now I’ve just got small trays that I carry to the dining room table when I gt the chance to bead. If only I had a bigger house! LOL
Hi Cyndi,
I usually have carving tools, a work mat, texture pieces, cz’s, boxes of stone beads. When I’m working I also have 2 or 3 packages of PMC, PMC tool kit, playing cards and other stuff.
Oooooo…PMC…that’s a whole bunch more tools to take up room!
I can’t show you a picture of my worktable, since I do most of my work in my lap! I’m working on getting a work desk established, with a spot for soldering and enamel bead making, but it’ll have to share with my sewing machine.LOL
Well, Cairenn, that’s what I end up doing a lot too, because MY TABLE IS TOO COVERED WITH STUFF!!! LOL!!
My work table is also the dinning room table and the collector of the kids papers from school.
Oops, it’s dinner time…gotta move the mess, I mean, the artwork… I am very familiar with the situation
Well Cyndi,
I have a lot lot lot of tools. The more tools the more fun. Of course there is my torch and my kiln and a few vices and my anvil. This aren’t the carry around type of tools, but tools non the less. See you on the forum.
Definitely! I have never met a tool I didn’t like
